The Kids Heart Challenge is a fantastic way to inspire lifelong health through education and physical activity. This year marks the 37th anniversary of our strong partnership with the American Heart Association and the continuation of this event at Pleasant Ridge. A major goal of this partnership is to raise awareness and offer hope to those affected by heart disease and stroke, while ensuring our students learn how to keep their hearts healthy. In addition to learning about heart health in a fun way, our students are encouraged to give back to something greater than themselves. Cardiovascular disease and stroke continue to impact nearly every family in America.
Pleasant Ridge has raised an impressive $1,279,212 for the American Heart Association over the years! Some of our previous years total have been:
-
2017-18: $57,737
-
2018-19: $44,655
-
2019-20: $36,013
-
2020-2021: $39,470
-
2021-2022: $62,367
-
2022 - 2023: $56,531
-
2023 - 2024: $53,063
This year our goal is $57,000! Help us reach our goal! Letters with more information will be sent home with your child soon.
