Grant Application Process
Welcome to the PTA grant cycle! We are excited to kick off this year’s grant process for Lyon and Pleasant Ridge. Through many fundraising efforts, the PTA is proud to offer teachers funding for programs and materials that will enhance the learning environment at Lyon and Pleasant Ridge. Do you have an idea that will make a difference in the lives of your students? If yes, we encourage you to think creatively and apply for a PTA grant.
If you are interested in applying, please complete the application form (will be posted soon) and attach any descriptive materials that would be a helpful reference for the grant committee. The deadline to submit a grant is Friday, January 25, 2022.
The PTA Grant Committee will review all requests and contact you for further information if necessary. Grant requests will be evaluated based upon a variety of factors including support of the D34 strategic plan, direct impact to learning, and innovation. Please consider the following guidelines when applying for a grant this year. PTA will not be able to fund any requests for furniture in the classrooms or additional apps for learning on the ipads. If you have a technology related request it will be reviewed by the district prior to approval. The committee will weigh each request with input from the parent community and the school principals. Recommendations will be presented to the larger PTA Board for a vote at the February 26, 2022 PTA meeting. All applicants will be notified by February 28th regarding whether the grant was or was not approved for this grant cycle.
