What is the Lyon/PR PTA Benefit? The Benefit is a dynamic event that raises critical funds for our schools while providing an opportunity for parents, teachers, and administrators to come together for an evening of pure enjoyment! The night begins with a cash bar cocktail hour with hors d'ouerves and the start of the Silent Auction. A complete buffet dinner is served and then the excitement begins as our auction tables begin to close. Next, we conduct our raffles and drawings and then the party moves to the dance floor until midnight!
How does the PTA Raise Money? Through exciting raffles, drawings, and auctioning items donated from generous local businesses, parents, and staff. Types of items our lucky Mardi Gras couples can go home with this year:
Adult & Family Fun (dinner & theatre packages, sign-up parties, sailing trips, and more!)
Sports Events & Memorabilia
Classroom-Created Gifts
"Spend time with Your Favorite Teacher" Packages
Last year, we raised over $40,000 for our schools and we hope to repeat that again this year!
Where does the Money Go? The money raised is used to support pta programs and events such as student assemblies, and to fund teacher-submitted PTA Grants for innovative technology, equipment, and learning programs.

King Cakes from Three Tarts Bakery
Pricing: $10 pre-order; $12 at event
King Cake is a traditional cake eaten during the Mardi Gras season. Three Tarts Bakery of Northfield has graciously offered to bake delicious almond-filled coffee-like cakes just for our event at a reduced price to raise funds for our schools. Order one when you RSVP for $10 per cake. Your King Cake will be at the event to take home and share with your kids the next day!

Crazy Mardi Gras Revelers: Don’t be afraid to wear your feathered mask, custom beads, or over-the-top ball gown. Mardi Gras is all about showing your spirit!

How can I donate to the Auction? Do you have a Cool Auction Item? We are still looking for sports tickets, vacation home getaways, or any special skill or item that our talent parent and staff community has to offer. Unique items are fun to bid on.
